You know I was really supportive of you through the whole trans-controversy thing back in the day, but the fact that you didn’t let my previous, totally light-hearted and inoffensive comment through really bothers me, like maybe some of the people that were saying you weren’t allowing everyone to speak freely were right.
You’re one of my favorite artists, but perhaps I need to rethink that. Not cool, Erika.

Ally, I’m completely confused what you’re talking about? Sometimes comments get caught in the spam filter and I don’t always have time to pick through the pages and pages of “BUY VIAGRA” so I’ll just mass delete everything. Sometimes it takes me a day or two to approve all the comments I receive.
I assure you you are not being oppressed.

The only comments that I do not approve are snarky ones or ones that make me uncomfortable (usually in regards to my sex life. Just because I write cute comics about sex does not make it okay for people to say really sleazy things in response or make sexist assumptions about how Matt and I interact). I’m not saying you did either of those, as I really have no idea what your missing comment was.
People are under the misconception that just because they leave a comment then by the Laws of the Internets it MUST be made public, and that is just not how it works on a personal website. On a forum, sure. But this is a comic site, guys.
Ally, I’m sorry you think you have been wronged in some way and I hope you find a new free source of entertainment that is moderated in a manner you prefer. Thank you for your previous readership.
