Do you have an ISBN? Is this book only sold through you, or by a publisher? I want to try to order some for my store :)
April 14th, 2009 at 6:31 pm
@thurls, The ISBN is 970-0-9823437-0-8 and soooo far I’m the only way you can order them but after convention stuff has calmed down I’m going to look into getting a more mainstream distributor like Diamond or something. Email me at erika.moen@gmail.com and we can figure out a reduced cover price for retailing :)

April 14th, 2009 at 8:22 pm

Damn, you are so lazy. Get a grip!
Btw, you know that you were meant to send out books with extra pictures? If you haven’t done mine feel free to hold off. I’m pretty much out of town and unable to pick up mail until June.
Busy, busy, busy, eh?

I’ve only just found your comic yesterday but I read through it all and I am in love. I am not sure if I am in love with your comic or with you. You have definitely made my heros list. You are doing what I want to do and you are doing it well. Keep up the good work.

I’ve been reading your DAR comic since it began, I almost may have grown up with it.
I’ve seen it through when you were in pain and honestly I know how it feels.
I’m so happy for you that you’re slowly building up to a place where you feel more free, connected and able to laugh instead of hurt.
Thank you, Erika :)

Wanted to say I found your comic today after Joey from ASW mentioned it on lj, and I read through every one. I’m absolutely blown away. And totally relate to everything from the zit thing to suddenly being with a guy and being weirded out by penises to Oh Yay fart jokes! Soooo thank you, thank you.
You totally filled the void left in my heart when Dykes to Watch Out For stopped running. Overfilled; now it’s overflowing.

I have been following your comic for a while and I have read each and every one. I just want to say it’s fantastic. My best friend and I both love it.
Oh, and random thing, I always picture you with pink hair and I’m like, “What? Where did her pink hair go?” when I see your picture. Hm.

Hi Erika,
I just wanted to let you know that I pre-ordered the book(SoOoooo happy you made it up to the Emerald City Comic Con) and in one swell foop, i got your email letting me know it was in the mail and, upon returning home, it had actually arrived. ON THE SAME DAY! I love postal services….and DAR!
Honestly, i only got a chance to flip through it before packing and moving preparations distracted me. Of course, an hour later, i found my lovely wife curled up on the floor(no lie) enjoying the fuck out it(but, like, not in a naughty way just, y’know, by reading it) so, yeah, that’s a good indication that you’ve snared the mind of at least one more reader by putting the awesomeness of webcomicery on real life papery goodness.
So, you’ve got that going for you…which is nice.
Thanks again for everything you’ve shared.
