Heh. I went to school with Mat and I can confirm there was a tuck shop but no owls. Mat did however run around in a cloak though. This is awesome, great site, great stuff. You just made me loose 2 hours!
Shutting down comments on the “transmen are hotter to me than mere ordinary men” post is probably wise, but I have to say that one of my female friends transitioned, and is now a man with far more exacting grooming and taste in clothes than most of the men I know, which is certainly a look that appeals to a lot of people.
s’ok erika… all the everyday british types take the mickey out of the boarders too. a bit like your prep schools, if i’m getting my references right.
(we just bought our sweets / candy / whatever on the way home from a hard day’s schoolin’, like any typical kids, and didn’t have to hide them away in a special box :D)
Lmao! Just brilliant! :3
It’s not just boarding schools, my primary school used to have a tuck shop, both a mini one inside the school where the school had bought a certain amount of sweeties and sold them at break times, and then there was a little shop on the corner of the street across the road from the school, and it’s actually called “Tasty tuck!” 8D
I went to boarding school expecting it to be mildly hogwartsy. Then I went, became horribly depressed, and got sent home. And I didn’t even get a candy box.
lmao
When I talk about boarding school people always assume it was a juvenile delinquent type thing.
“I went to boarding school.”
“Really? Did you do something really bad or something?”
Grmph. It would be more fun to get a Hogwarts reaction.
hehehehehehehehe.
^_____^
thank you. this made me laugh harder then i have in weeks.

You are ridiculously cute.
“Candy”? A true Brit would have said “sweets” (definitely when refering to childhood sugar-based products) or just “chocolate”.
I’m actually listening to the harry potter audiobook as I read this so I laughed twice as hard.
Also, I wasn’t able to comment on the transmen comic, so I’ll say it here- I agree they are TOTALLY hot!!!

hahahaaha
you are the most adorable person in the world
Whenever I say I go to boarding school, everyone says “Ooh I’m sorry.” And then I have to stop and explain that I love my school.
I have to say, this is my favorite DAR comic. :] I’ll miss updates on this. Look forward to seeing your other work, Erika! :D
I like to pretend all my British friends went to Hogwarts…

I laughed so unexpectedly, I spit. Admittedly it is unladylike but this was TOO hilarious. Love it.
