That is awesome! I think it would be kinda cool to have a bi girlfriend

  2. Kira

Yup, that’s me. Sort of anyway. I identified as bi from age 10 to 17, then decided I was a lesbian, then changed it to bi again at 19, then decided at 27 that I was really a lesbian, which was my identity until at age 29 I suddenly and unexpectedly got together with a male friend, who is now my husband.

One of my ex-friends (coincidentally his ex-girlfriend) subsequently referred to me as a “faux lesbian.” I guess technically I am, since I’m bi and not gay after all, but I swear I didn’t know it at the time!

I’ve been with my husband for over 10 years, and most people are surprised that I still identify as bi even though I haven’t been sexually active with another woman since we got together. Nowdays if someone asks me what I am, I tell them monogamous and leave it that.

Dru – that is the best answer to that question i have ever heard!

Human sexual orientation is fluid and flexible, and not necessarily time-bound.

The heart wants what it wants (and so do the genitals).

  7. Wolfmammy

Same thing my husband & I have in common!

  8. Ian

I’m a bi butch queer FtWTF who likes chicks A AWFUL LOT but is currently in a long-term relationship with a (straightish, bio-) guy, and I felt a little weird at Pride with him. But it was TOTALLY FABULOUS.

    So yeah.
    This comic is awesome.
    Th’ end.

I know the feeling… I’ve been a lesbian with an exception for 2 years… we broke up though.

  10. snugglepuss

see that’s why i changed my name. the danny up there isn’t me.

  11. Ky

This is why I’ve always found it easier to just say “bi”… There’s no sense that I’ve promised to be any one way.

I went to college with a bisexual girl who ended up marrying a woman. I think we should all want each other to be happy and loved and taken care of and not have expectations about who we should be with.

  13. Becca

I don’t think it matters as long as you love the person you are with. It should not matter if you are gay/straight/bi/whatever. If you are happy with who you are than be happy. If you love the one you are with, then love them no matter what.

  14. Dominique

I’ve always been bi. I remember being five and getting excited by Victoria Secret magazines :P I’ve never had a girlfriend though, so I don’t get taken seriously. These labels are frustrating.

  15. Jessica Sideways

Yeah, I am catching a lot of shit for having started dating guys after my sex change…
